The foundation of our working practice
and the principles through which we carry out our work
are founded in the belief that all human beings have
the inner resources and ability to identify and achieve
their goals and have a desire to be happy and prosperous
and want to be useful.
Our belief system is founded in the ‘Person-Centred
Psychotherapeutic approach developed by ‘Carl
Rogers’. This belief system recognises that human
beings are basically rational, socialized, forward moving,
creative and realistic and that we all strive to be
secure, accepted, loved and respected. This state of
being is however often interrupted when human beings
are under threat, in pain, in emotional distress or
when in a relationship or situation where a person or
group is experiencing prejudice and discrimination.
It is within this context that human beings become antisocial
and hostile and are unable to think clearly or react
rationally. It is also within this context that human
beings are unable to learn, develop, be forward moving
or creative.
RYL is therefore fully committed to providing
learning environments or one to one relationships with
its clients that are respectful and conducive to positive
change. Our belief and value systems are also committed
to the foundations of coaching practice which is reflected
in the provision of our professional coaching training,
practices and services.
We are also fully committed to respecting
and believing in our clients right to self direction
and we fully value the worth and significance of those
with whom we work and trust in our clients ability to
develop their full potential.
