Associate Trainer

Ann Allcockann_allcock

Ann is an equality and diversity expert who started her career in London within local government in the 1980s she worked initially as an equality practitioner and in training roles for the Inner London Education Authority and the London Fire Brigade. She was subsequently employed to develop the diversity strategy in two universities.

Ann has worked independently as a consultant and trainer since 1998 and supports client organisations on a broad range of equality and diversity issues, her experience spans service delivery, employment and strategic issues.

Ann is motivated by seeing the benefits of a positive organisational approach to equality and diversity, but also pragmatically recognises that tensions are likely to arise as a result of 'difference'. Her aim is to understand the situations and requirements of clients, service users, customers and staff and works in partnership with them to achieve positive outcomes and culture change for those involved.

My commitment to addressing HIV and associated issues has been strengthened by my experiences in both my personal and professional life.

Andy HiltonAndy_Hilton

Andy is a qualified Personal Performance Coach with an Advanced Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy. The Coaching Academy is Europe's largest coach training body and its courses are accredited by the Open College Network. Andy operates a business and life coaching company based in Cumbria.

He has a background in industry and has held positions in Sales, Technical and Quality Management. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Durham University and is a Chartered Electrical Engineer. Andy has also worked in Adult Education and with the Swindon Foyer Project which is a project committed to housing and education for disenfranchised youths.

He is currently a trustee of the National Long Term Survivors Group (a charity set up to help people living with HIV/AIDS for 5 years or more) and has worked as a volunteer and committee member with the Swindon Project for AIDS Counselling and Education (SPACE). Andy has a particular commitment to the provision of coaching for people affected by and living with HIV infection.

Clare WalkerClare Walker

Clare Walker is an NLP Master Practitioner, and author of, "Be the Life and Soul of the Party," (pub Crown House). She has been a full-time life coach and trainer since 1998, before which she read law at Cambridge, qualified as a barrister and worked in the City.

Her approach to coaching is holistic but practical, and she aims to give you the results you need in the shortest possible time that's comfortable for you.

Clare's experience includes the following:

Coaching private individuals from all walks of life on a range of issues, including: confidence, communication, personal impact, leadership skills, stress relief, job and promotion acquisition, interview skills, exam success and life direction. This takes place face-to-face, by phone, and/or occasionally by email.

Provision of disability leadership coaching to DRC & RADAR forum candidates nationwide.

Preferred supplier of leadership, confidence and communication skills coaching to Capgemini UK plc.

Motivational speaker for Jobcentre Plus events in Devon and Cornwall.

Dennis L Carney Dennis Carney

Over the last two decades Dennis has worked with clients from the statutory and voluntary sectors, providing a range of high quality training and consultancy services to organisations committed managing change in the following areas of service development; Diversity, Racial Equality, Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health issues.

Dennis is a qualified Assertiveness Trainer and offers Team Building as part of his portfolio of work.

Dennis has coordinated a dynamic training programme for PACE, London's leading LGBT mental health charity for the last 7 years and counts the Department of Trade & Industry, Social Care Institute for Excellence, The NAZ Project and East Thames Housing Association, amongst many others, as satisfied clients he has worked with.

Dennis facilitates workshops on the popular Gay Men's Workshop programme at PACE, that explore themes around identity, self esteem, assertiveness, relationships and sexual health.

Dennis is a part-time lecturer at London's City Lit, teaching courses on Diversity, HIV and Sexuality Awareness within the Counselling & Psychotherapy Department. He has also completed 7 years of ongoing training in Humanistic Psychology at Spectrum.

Dennis appeared in the recent Channel 4 documentary 'Reggae, Trainers & Olympics which explored the role of dancehall music and homophobia.

He is a member of the Crime Prosecution Service Community Scrutiny Panel and is the current Vice-Chair of the Black Gay Men's Advisory Group (BGMAG).

In 2003 and 2006 he received Black LGBT Community Awards in recognition of his work with Black LGBT communities in the UK.

Winnie Ssanyu Sseruma Winnie Ssanyu Sseruma

Winnie has a BA in Sociology and currently works with Christian Aid as HIV mainstreaming Coordinator. She also works part-time for HIV i-Base as Treatment Development Worker.

Until October 2006, she was Chair of the African HIV Policy Network (AHPN) for six years.

Since 1996, she has coordinated and has been a research assistant on a number of studies exploring issues affecting people living with HIV.

Winnie initiated Vital Voices, a leadership project for African men and women living with HIV in the UK in 2007 and is also a trustee of both the National AIDS Trust (NAT) and Tackle Africa.

Winnie is currently working as a trainer and is involved in a number of leadership initiatives.

Shaama Saggar-MalikShaama Saggar-Malik

Shaama is a qualified coach and an independent organisation development consultant with over twenty years experience of working as a senior executive. She is a former Director of Human Resources in the public sector. Over her career, Shaama has acquired a wide range of high-level strategic management and leadership skills, particularly those pertinent to complex organisations.

She has worked at Board level and with senior executives in a variety of public, private and third sector organizations in the UK and internationally. Shaama is especially committed to improving leadership and strategic capabilities and effectiveness.

She is a core facilitator on several premier talent management and accelerated leadership development programmes for the Cabinet Office, BERR (formerly DTI), NHS and several local authorities - all of which have included participants with a range of disabilities.

Shaama's goals are to help organisations and individuals to re-define success, find effective ways of sustaining it and to re-energise individual talent.

Shaama is skilled in coaching for emergent talent, career and life transitions, work life balance, managing professional relationships. She is passionate about supporting individuals to find strategies to manage personal success in diverse organisations, in ways that are congruent with personal ethics and pride in differing personal identities. Shaama focuses her interests in coaching individuals and teams to enable new ways of working and 'making change really happen' to enhance individual and collective performance.

Shaama has an open and relaxed communication style combined with high levels of energy and a sense of fun. She supports individuals to achieve their desired goals by creatively exploring their real issues. Her clients particularly value her ability to ask the 'ouch' questions that take them to a new level of thinking.

Her clients include senior executives and 'rising talent' individuals from: local authorities, civil service, health authorities, arts and media quangos, IT industry, housing associations, pharmaceutical multinationals and the voluntary/charity sector.
